The cannon of the famous series of German anti-aircraft guns 8,8 cm FlaK 18, 36 and 37. It is considered one of the best anti-aircraft guns of World War II.
This self-propelled artillery standardized as 37mm GMC M4, but was soon renamed 37mm GMC M6, to avoid confusion with the conveyor towed 37mm cannon. The troops stuck informal name «Fargo» – the name of the manufacturer Fargo Division of Chrysler. From spring 1942 to autumn 1942 produced 5.400 M6 GMC
