Hello everyone

Started in previous and finished as the first model in this year, AZ MODEL - Supermarine Spiteful Mk XIV, is one of those models you must have in your collection if you are the Spitfire-centric, but you certainly do not want to make two of them.
This model is one of the first batch AZ molds, and anyone who made some of the models from this batch knows what that means. They required a lot of patience and your wish to see them finished. Lot of work, sanding, filling, again sending, careful alignment of the parts....and at the end you will always find some mistakes left over.. Just for example, the nose cone is nearly 2mm in diameter larger than fuselage, so sand paper helped in reshape process until it was reduced to acceptable dimensions .... and that's just one problems. But everything is forgotten from the moment when you got it finished, and add in your collection a model of one of the last version of the Spitfire, and last attempts to reincarnate this legendary plane. The project was started in 1944 but unfortunately was not successful, there was completed 2 prototypes and 19 "of the production" planes. However, he outlived itself because the entire wing of the spiteful was later used in the construction of Supermarine Attacker, a early jet generation plane used from 1951 to 1964.

The model was painted with Hataka colors, finished with Gunze semi gloss varnish , and minimal wash as this was a prototype.
Once again I will use this opportunity and wished everyone a happy and successful 2017, and of course pictures at the end :)

Did this model from AZ have a "generic" spitfire cockpit or have they done it with the modified Spiteful cockpit (inclined seat, raised platform for rudder pedals, different instrument panel) ?
