T-6 Texan/Harvard in its many forms

In the thread "Need aircraft identification," it was commented on how many different aircraft the T-6 is modified for to replicate. Snautzer01 suggested a thread be made on the subject so here it is. Post 1 picture of the T-6 in disguise as another plane. I'll start it off with the one that was in the previously mentioned thread;

I'd always thought the replica Aichi D3A Vals used in Tora Tora were Harvards/Texans. But no, they were converted Convair BT-15 trainers.

Well, strictly speaking it's not a real Harvard, but there used to be one exactly like this (and in playgrounds all round the country once), but someone recognised that the real aeroplane was worth salvaging and it was removed. The locals, however, had grown fond of their Harvard slide that they were disgruntled by its absence; after all, there isn't much to do in Pahiatua, so this full scale purpose built Harvard slide was installed and now it's a feature of the town and kept in very good nick!

Thanks. Good info.

Makes me wonder if the Texan could have been converted into a fighter. Hopefully something sleeker than the CAC Wirraway to Boomerang path.
