Made a huge batch of Clam Chowder from a recipe my friends father gave to me years ago, he begged it off from a guy in a seafood restaraunt long ago. Secret ingredient is Cheeze Whiz. Didn't sound too good to me when I first heard of it, but it's soo good, only thing that could make it better is some crumbled bacon on top.

We celebrate today and tomorrow. Today we celebrate the German Christmas and tomorrow the American Christmas.

Made a Beef Wellington tonight. Flavor and temp was spot on, but I made my knife marks a lil too deep in the puff pastry so it split on the top. Oh well it tasted great.

Had Afghan Aushak again last night - see below for photo (not of my actual meal as I was too busy gobbling that up, but mine looked pretty damned close). If you haven't tried it and get a chance to do so, don't pass up on the opportunity.

Aushak are an Afghan version of dumplings, usually filled with leeks, onions, or chives. It's served with creamy garlic yogurt and a hearty tomato-based meat or lentil sauce and sprinkled with dried mint. It might not sound like much but when combined it is incredible.
