I am fortunate to live in a rural setting that does not lack for wildlife. I often travel with my camera and was fortunate to capture this tranquil scene a while back. The whitetail deer is very prominent to the point of being nuisance to some and a hazard to drivers, especially during the rut which will begin very soon. I often sit on my front porch and watch the deer feeding in the fields across the road and I like to follow their trails out back of my place.

Nice! Last weekend I was on one of my regular walks in the Provincial Park near my house and I came up on a doe along the trail. It stopped, looked at me and then kept grazing. I was able to get within about 2 meters of it before it took off.
