It has been an unusual 7 months. Colder than normal winter and hotter than usual summer

The thunderstorms rolling through here in the evening have been constant. I can't remember a summer like this one has been.
 
Love watching lightning.


Ya know -- I used to love watching Lightning. Climate change and forest fires and towns burning up has mostly taken away that pleasure...

98 degrees F. Super dry. Thunderheads building.

Recall back in 69/70 time frame when we got no rain in Chemult area of Oregon when the temperature was in the 90's and thunderclouds would rise. Lightning would streak from the sky and thunder boomed but near a drop of rain would fall. Nice way to start a lot of fires.
 
I remember walking to school in the freezing cold and Time magazine cover story that we may were entering a new ice age. This was in the mid 7Os. In the 90s it was global warming and we would be dead in 20 years if we did not do something. Now it is climate changing that will end the world in 20 years. May be maybe not. Time will tell.
