Here I go again! Severe Thunderstorm Warning was just issued as I started typing this!
Tuesday night about midnight the farm got hit by a tornado. From all I can tell the main circulation was just above the ground. I haven't seen any ground truth in the picked corn stubble of a touchdown. The house is untouched.
I have some downed trees that fell north. I have others that fell east.
I have a real mess of limbs down in the yard.
I lost power for 23 hours.
I just got internet back this afternoon.
Any volunteers for limb detail?
I am pretty lucky. Many in the area got hit much worse.

Thanks. Again, I can't recall so many here. Where I grew up, in Grand Forks, we would get them all of the time. This is very uncommon.

The line of severe storms weakened a bit before hitting. Some strong winds and heavy rain for a bit. All has passed and is quiet.
Saturday temps are to drop all day ending in the low 40s. YUCK!

Woke up to blue skies ....... and 50kmh winds. The forecast had said uninterrupted rain. Which never arrived. It got cloudy. Then sunny. Then cloudy. Then sunny again. I let the dogs out 10 minutes into a sunny back yard. 5 minutes later it was snowing, with crazy wind and thick black clouds. Now it's sunny again. But still windy. Basically, a typical April day in YYC .....

In between earthquake clusters we've been alternating twixt enough snow to close some roads and shirtsleeve time to wash the car weather.
Yesterday afternoon was not quite T-shirt weather but overnight we had rain hear and perfect snow line at about the 5,000 ft (+/- 1500m) line. We're at 4,200 ft (+/-1300m) so the line is really clear. Mountains are covered in clouds from about 7,00 ft (+/- 2100 m). Our local high point is about 11,000 fit (3400m) so we'll probably see good snow coverage when the clouds lift and 90% will be gone tomorrow. We are having a terrible winter; insufficient snowpack and most of that has been washed away by early rains.
Every time I try to write something about the earthquakes I stop because there are aftershocks or another cluster starts. Nothing too serious. So far I think 5.7 is the highest and there is close to zero human population in that area. Despite USGS giving the clusters different reference points they have all been in the same general area.

Sunny and a bit windy here in southern AB .... but only around 0C. Was a chilly bike ride, but the last dump of snow is pretty much entirely gone. It's supposed to warm up this week. Until the next snowfall......

-Addendum. The snow, as expected, disappeared below about 10,000ft (3,000m) virtually overnight and the temp today is in the mid 70's F (24C).
-Snow above 10k ft disappearing quickly as well.
