It struck me - how the h*ll would you shoot an approach like that without modern Nav/ILS aid ??!!!

Flying into Queenstown is neat. Only done it as pax, but the scenery sliding by is spectacular. You approach between mountain ranges. This image gives you an idea of the approach; over the lake between the mountains to the threshold visible at lower right.
