I wonder how the Control Tower cuminicate with these old warbirds??? They don't have a Radio System or any other way to make contact while flying.

They have radios. There are also hand held radios that can be plugged into a headset.

That is what my Father used to use when flying his Cessna 120. Worked quite well mostly just to call out landing at uncontrolled airports.

When I started in the 1950s my instruction was in a Tri-traveler with no radio. Most towers then still had on hand the lights for non radio acft. Red for no and green for OK.
