I love chipmunks I can watch them all day long! Both of them bouncing up and down and doing there own things!

I used to fly gliders at Culdrose in the mid 70's and the airtug was a chipmunk. What was unusual was that it was the one Prince Charles learnt to fly in. It was effectively brand new and the RAF wanted to get rid of it as soon as he had finished using it. The reason being, that it was non standard and at the time they had plenty of standard ones.
I cannot remember all the changes but IIRC it had Self Sealing fuel tanks, a more powerful engine and was generally strengthened airframe. Their loss was our gain as we were more than happy to use it at a bargain price. I sometimes wonder what happened to it.

Always liked the Boomerang, a sleek tight little ship with great lines with nice visibility through the canopy.
