Dan not sure how dirty she should be....was prepared for Crinius to fly, but he did not get to fly it, he was shot down and captured before returning to the 3rd staffel to take charge of Yellow 13...

Agree with Gnomey. Also, got to be careful not to overdo any weathering/dirt. It might look OK close up, but too much at a 'scale' distance of, say, 20 feet. Many a really good model has been, almost, spoiled by the small details - panel lines, paint chips and dirt etc, being too visible at 'normal' viewing distance for the real thing.

That is a fact. I have been disappointed with many a' model from having overdone weathering. In fact I have a couple that I'm currently disappointed with. That weathering stuff truly is art work. One cannot practice enough is what I keep telling my wee-skill self.
