Also, now that the youngest kid got his license, it would be convenient to have a third set of wheels. But, I don't deserve nice things.
My neighbor across the street has a 2007 Ford Explorer with 122,000 miles that looks new. He will take $6000 for it. There is a warning light that means the antiskid feature is not working or something; probably a bad wheel speed sensor.

Thanks for the offer, but things have been sorted. She got to use the insurance payout as a down payment on the new Tucson, which she picked out, so she can't grumble later. The kid will have use of the old Ford Fusion, until he's 18, at which time he can purchase it from me for $1000. I got a used Ford Escape for my daily commute.
I put fewer miles on it in a week than shuttling the kid for two days.

My wife's 2003 Astro van has had the ABS & Brake warning lights on for years. When it first happened years back, it went to the dealer, who replaced the ABS module, for as I remember about $900. Just a few months later the lights came back on. Dealer wanted to do more tests and checks, but we said no. It has performed well for many years and if I hit the brakes really hard, a slight chirp is heard. The beast stops fine with standard brakes.

Internet out again this morning, fourth time in three weeks, fibreoptics definitely NOT better than U-Verse for AT&T. Very frequent failures since the change over. U-Verse was worse than previous before but they almost forced the change, and then last spring forced fibre optic cable for internet. I guess smoke signals are next if we can waive pollution requirements.

AWS had a big problem today, resulting in a wide variety of services not working. Think like NetFlix, Signal and all kinds of other related services that is AWS.

Still dealing with the car dealer about the botched windshield treatment they applied. It's supposed to protect against chips, reduce glare and wick away water. But it was not applied evenly, so when it's wet the wipers leave big streaks. Plus the uneven finish increases glare and distortion. We've brought it back several times and in spite of their apologies, excuses, and promises to get it right, it is still f-ed up.

If Kangaroo roadkill was hit by a 1969 Toyota Cressida doing exactly 48kph it is heavenly (according to the chef that created the best kangaroo dish I have ever had)

All other roadkill is inedible.

When my wife was in the Royal Melbourne years ago the whole ward sent back one meal. On the first night we visited there was a big notice above her bed saying soft foods only. They had served her semi cremated chops of some sort. I raced off to a restaurant and got some soft food for her. Next night I took in some oysters and her favourite soft serve ice cream and found they had once again served her cremated chops. Before housekeeping came to take the food away the doctor came in on his rounds and commented we were spoiling her. I pointed at the sign and said what does that say? He replied soft foods only. I then asked do you consider this soft foods? He went totally ballistic at the kitchen staff and ward staff. For the rest of her stay he was waiting when dinner was served and for some strange reason the kitchen quickly discovered that he considered many of the meals not suitable for her. The kids and I kept spoiling her.

Seen some of the pricks who are bullying my son in school when I checked him out. Reminded me of myself until I hit middle school.
Went trough some of that from grade school to junior high. I fought every little POS who dared after the 5th grade to 7th(you could back then).I think it was by the 8th grade people stopped F@#$in with me a fight was coming and I was getting better. My Son had a problem in HS I told him "fight him" he said"I get suspended" I said "go for it" they both got suspended for 3 days he became free. The word Prick(s) plural complicates things.
