English spelling is very consistent. You know I before E except after C or in any word like Height or Weight or .....

In school we had to do a book review on a book of proper English - I thought the author was George Bernard Shaw but I cannot find it in his listed works.

The author gave many examples of PROPER English spelling and the one I always liked best was fish, in proper English spelling, is ghot

  • GH is the F sound in many words like enough
  • O is the I sound in words like women
  • T is the SH sound in words like station.

Therefore either I (or O from the example above) for the first letter of Inshitification is perfectly correct.

If "ineffective" means not able to produce positive results, and "incommunicado" means unable to communicate, why does "inflammable" mean particularly volatile?
