After 253,592 miles the transmission in my 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee decided it had had enough. I really don't think it owes me anything though.

Wow, that's pretty impressive!
Thanks, I was hoping to see 300,000 out of it. Oh well. I hope to get it back to the shop tomorrow.
On the bright side, you can load it up in your tool box when you fly.
I have a 100 round trip mile commute daily myself, and I'm sure I'd envy your gas mileage.
I had 200,000 on mine, when the transmission finally gave out on her. I decided not to replace it though, and just get a new one. You getting yours fixed?
I know a lot of people complain about Jeeps, but I love mine. I am a straight up Jeep man.
Good God, man...that thing would fit in the glovebox of my Scion!I can't remember if I posted this.
2 kids and 126 mile round trip commute daily, well I stuck with economy.
My oldest daughter says "it's fluffy."
Good God, man...that thing would fit in the glovebox of my Scion!
I got it back today from the shop. The shop owner told me he would do better than the factory. He backed it with a warranty and told me if I had any problems just to bring it back so I can't complain about that. And I don't want to get rid of it.
Between 35 - 38 mpg.
Well, I had no idea that was a Scion, Joe...but now that you mention it, I can see the Scion emblems on the rims
I thought that Scion pretty much made one type of car, the tC coupe. I know they make that X series toaster shaped thing, too...
Here's my Scion at Hayfork Summit back in early November.
I'm sorry, its called the c-x75. The thing goes up over 200 MPH but again the range kills. They did add something I never saw before. Two turbo motors to recharge the battery to extend its range. Those are the turbo motors you see when looking through the back window.
My boss has a 96' Grand Cherokee Laredo and a 08' SRT8. The latter is not an off roader at all but son, will it haul the mail. I rarely have any serious problems with mine and the fact that it will go anywhere I want to go makes me want to keep it.
