Its a Rainbow Lorikeet, very common along the eastern and south eastern side of Australia. They come in for the nuts on the trees and like most parrots, do a very good job of pruning the trees.

Some of the orchids are native like the white one above but most would have been taken when visiting the Singapore Orchid Garden or when visiting parts of Bali. When I do have a native orchid or flower I will indicate.

This second picture id the same flower as the first pic yesterday and as you can see from the dried grass, it is quite small.
