even worse, it's only 1 watt, Marshall forgot 2 "0"'s.B...b...b....but the volume only goes to 10.....
But it' it'll work nicely in the local pub where they are only allowed 90 decibel or so.
It's ok. On this this site it means mach ten which equals not eleven but eleventy one.
Question for Marcel. A friends mother had an amp about 1 metre tall and nearly as wide. It was open at the back
(panel taken off) with no name on the front as it was bashed around a bit. The frame was red and there were four
speakers in the back with the name Fender on each one. Always wondered what model it was as I've never seen
one like that before or since ?

Was it an amp with speakers or a cabinet without the amp?
Can be anything. Even the fender logo on the speakers does not have to mean anything as it's quite common to swap them out (although usually not for fender speakers)
I have no idea what you said there !Bought myself a Marshall guitar tube amp. I have been playing guitar for about 30 years, but this is my first Marshall. It's tiny, but fully tube and while playing it I'm wondering why it took me so long to get one. Nothing more satisfactory then playing a powerchord on a cooking tube amp.

Only 14 days before Vacation, this year driving to Taos New Mexico for our annual Sports car get together. Going to drive Rt 66 from Missouri to New Mexico. Then be a general Nuisance on the local twisty and Scenic Roads!

Ahh yes. But it sounds good. And a lot of real rock gods used this brand. Most sound good for the prizes you pay. It is a clear pleaseant sound.
And is an up tier.
Some are beyond that. People like Hendrix used them.
I won't bore you any further. But buying your first Marshall amp is a real thing. Not only for the thing but a bit for the history.
I understand completely.

I used to use Marshall, and Vox, tube (valve) amps donkey's years ago, and they were brill !

Just booked the ferry, and the hotel in Normandy, for when Karl and I (and another friend) go to visit Pegasus bridge, and other 6th Airborne division battlefields, plus Gold, Juno, and Sword beaches and other areas in the first week of September !

I've been a Vox player up until now. I still am. I use a Vox in the band, but it's way too loud for home use. And a Vox does not have a master volume setup, so you have to crank it to get some edge to the sound or use pedals. So I've been using modellers at home until now. You can do the cranking on the clean channel on this amp as well, but with only one watt, it breaks up at significant lower volume.

I used to play, everything from semi-classical, folk, flamenco and rock, using a Gibson electric and an electric semi acoustic Hofner, plus an acoustic Tanglewood as my last guitar (my eldest daughter now has that one).
Unfortunately, due to the arthritis getting worse, I can no longer play. The only thing I can play now, is the fool - oh, and a harmonica !
