Oldest got up from his wheelchair and walked to the bathroom with help a little while ago. Most steps he's taken in nearly 3 years.... Family joke is he's going to run the Boston Marathon next year. Looks like after all these years, his brain is finally remaking the necessary connections. Got to go dig one of the rollarators out of the warehouse tomorrow for him. First upward progress we've seen in several years for him. :hello1:

My son Abraham turned 13 today! Where does the time go?

It's weird how something from over a quarter century ago still manages to make me laugh...

It was a scene from Saving Private Ryan where Private Mellish (who happens to be Jewish) is lording his heritage over a bunch of captured German POW's.

I stumbled upon it a couple weeks ago, and I was watching it again this morning and it never fails: Obviously, it is the highest of high-brow humor that characterizes my posts.

Today I got a new model kit in the mail. It is Hasegawa's 1/72 scale Kawanishi H8K2 "Emily".
I built this kit in the early 1970s when I was in the USAF stationed at Griffiss AFB, NY. When I was stationed in West Germany in the early 1980s, the kit was back home in Michigan on a shelf. Somehow it fell and was destroyed. So this is my 2nd try at this kit. I have better paints to do a better job...I HOPE!
