My newly-adopted 2 y.o. husky was successfully spayed today. She's high as a kite but resting comfortably. Her brother (my other husky) is gleefully eating all her food while she rests. Win-win

I remember reading an account of an older lady and her three dogs, two small & one large. In the winter, the two little dogs could not place themselves in front of the fireplace because the big dog lay closest to the fire. The two small dogs would run to the front door and bark. When the big dog arrived at the door, he would return and find the small dogs in his place near the fire. One particularly cold night, all three dogs began furiously barking at the front door. The old lady went to see, when she returned the two small dogs were in front of the fire and the big dog was in the lady's chair.

I can add and this is true.

I have a cat and 2 good ole boys. German shepard and a Malinois. And said cat that has no traceble what so ever bloodline.
There are 2 big pillows. For the dogs. Because they insist on getting dirty when getting out.

Cat can sit lay or sleep wherever he wants.

Now. It is getting a tad cold, so King Cat would like the pillow.
So what he does is this.
Suddenly he runs to the kitchen and starts miauwing like there is someone getting him food.

The 2 stupids look at one. If one blinks they are both off to the kitchen.
Cat on pillow.

How is that for a party trick?

Got a Christmas card from our old neighbor. He's at least 95, because I remember going to his 90th birthday party before COVID. He's in assisted living now, but still going strong.

The city coucil actually voted to raise my taxes less than originally proposed.
Still going up, just by not as much.
This is kind of like being mugged, but the robber let's me keep the change.
