Well, it's a good news, but not one that you may expect from me!!!

My DnD and TTRPG Commiunity is up and running! I have my first in-person session, as DM, just the week before current events in Iran.

We do Online sessions, if Internet in Iran allows it, time to time.

Btw, if you know any TTRPG that is about WW2, please let me know. I did not ask for wargames, because i found several.

Bolt action is very popular now as it can run for as little as one hour. It's WWII but the other side of the coin is the scale. It
is 28mm (1/56) and the figures/vehicles are expensive. Easy fix is to use 1/72 or even 15mm - way cheaper and smaller
gaming area if movement and firing distances are scaled down.

..and Panzer Blitz? I still have Jutland. I lack opponents and a football field to play it on.

There was a board game called 'Axis and Allies' in the '80s. I don't know how that would compare with modern games, but it was good at the time.

About board games, i played Risk many times!

Risk and Monopoly, are my faves.

Still popular. It's my oldest son's favorite game. It's gone through a few upgrades and spin-offs since the 80s.

I remember a very old PC game by that name! Pentium era!

There is a computer game called Lux Alliance which is free to download and has various maps (WWII, Crusades, Great Khan, Napoleonic etc).
You can choose which player you will take and the rest of the players are run by the computer - you can play online against other people as well.

It's usually in teams so you may have one or two computer allies. Reasonably quick to play and it's a mixture of Axis and Allies plus Risk.
Worth a look.
