Crusader has been a word for nearly 1000 years. Coined to describe those who joined the european armies that were formed to attempt to liberate the Levant from Muslim control beginning in the late 11th century, it is used generally to descibe a person fighting for a good cause. Only recently, with the push to eliminate "problematic" language, has the term fallen out of favor. Don't let the word police shame you.I chose Stannum because its latin for Tin and Tin is a cool metal with neat properties. And crusader I kind of regret, I didn't realize the political implications and far-right associations many have with "crusaders". I just like knights and stuff like that, but Looking back I wish I had chosen something else.
The word police isn't real. And I'm not being pressured to do anything bud, I choose what I do and don't want to do. Have you ever considered I WANT to get rid of my own problematic language?Only recently, with the push to eliminate "problematic" language, has the term fallen out of favor. Don't let the word police shame you.
