What are the meanings of the words under peoples name I have recruit for instance. Can I change it?

It seems everyone i see has a different word or phrase

The system "promotes" members based on the amount of their posts, starting from "recruit". Fortunately for me, the quality of the posts are irrelevant.

As SaparotRob pointed out the system promotes you based on the number of posts.

However, the moderator/admin staff can bestow a unique name upon you if they choose. Usually if you are very knowledgeable in something, or if you do something funny or stupid.
