LIVING
An old fashioned movie, more like the ones in the movie theaters (cinemas), during the early years of my life. A remake of an old Kurosawa-movie from the 1950s, which I knew, this is one of the very few cinematic gems in the last decade, not being touched by any modern "ideology".
Bill Nighy didn't get the "Oscar" for best leading actor, but who takes the "Oscars" seriously today?

I nearly got to watch the original "Maltese Falcon" from 1931, but daughter No.1 and son in law came in and I forgot the movie.

If anyone here gets "Grit" tv, I just turned it on and Duel in the Sun, featuring Gregory Peck and the exquisitely beautiful Jennifer Jones, is playing right now.
Looks like we're about an hour into it.
Grit TV has some classic shows and movies, but they recently aired the "Magnificent Seven" remake and I'm not a fan - I prefer the original (which they also recently aired).

Great movie, terrific acting.

Then you missed it, because they ran the whole series of those movies, last weekend I think it was.
The original Magnificent Seven, included.
