Dr. Strangelove, the 1964 classic, still brilliant after 59 years. Peter Sellers at his best, and perhaps George C Scott unknowingly preparing for his role as Patton ?
Evidently, George C. Scott thought it was a serious movie. Kubrick asked Scott to play a take for laughs, after each serious take, for a gag reel. That's what ended up in the movie.
Scott never spoke to Kubrick again.
