"Oppenheimer", a real disappointment. Badly written & very badly directed. The excellent cast struggled to keep this thing afloat but I'm afraid they went down with the ship. It is as if the director had no idea of what he was doing. We saw it in 70mm IMAX in a theater in Nashville. The audio was really bad- there was an annoying random piece of background music on the left that drowned out some of the dialog. The sudden loud blasts of sound were just gratuitous crap added for shock value but it detracted from the viewing experience. The "message" was rather heavy-handed as well. Maybe I should have seen "Barbie" instead.

I did see some excellent films on video- the 1957 version of "The 3:10 To Yuma" with Van Heflin & Glenn Ford. "The Asphalt Jungle" and "The Killing" from the '50s, both starring Sterling Hayden. These three are well worth seeing.

Sterling Hayden was a good actor. I enjoyed "The Asphalt Jungle." "The Killing" has been on my list for a while.

Seasons 1 to 5 were great, with many episodes very unsettling and premonitory but season 6 was disappointing, sliding to the terror more than sci-fi. Some S6 episodes were good but for me none were at the same level of S1 to 5.
