Quite a good analysis overall - but black ??!!!

Having done some work on this back in the early 1980s, when employed by Kodak, for a joint study with a university and a major (UK) TV company, at the time, following very extensive colour and emulsion layer analysis, it was shown that the colour(s) in question were green (the dispute back then was whether they were green or blue), this being determined from the known saturation, and percentage degradation of emulsion hues, over a given period, within the structure of the Kodachrome 25 film used for the original image.
Although the video raises some good points, it seems to have "missed the point" of comparing definite, "known" and "standard" colours when analysing the various presumed shades, with, for example, the colour of the "anti glare" panel on the nose cowling which, at that period, would have been one of two shades of Olive Drab, and possibly showing varying degrees of weathering.

Now, whether the upper surface colours were applied using RAF, US, or British Army paint stocks may never be truly determined, the bottom line is, the colour was bl**dy green !!
