Men of The Skies - 1942
A short color semi documentary, some Hollywood, about AAF pilot entry and training. Best parts are in background with Curtiss AT-9s on the line, AT-6, BT-13 with several others .
Watched episodes 8&9 yesterday. I think those are the most powerful (especially 8) parts of the saga so far. The resemblance with real historical events is striking.
BTW Rogue 1 was one of my favorite sci-fi movies when it came out. Still is, with all the BS being mass-produced nowadays.
Yep, 8 and 9 were bloody awesome. No spoilers for the rest, but you won't be disappointed
It is definitely a mirror of real life events too, past and present...
I recently watched two "Greg Videos" on the Kawasaki Ki 61 and the P-39 Airacobra.
Both were somewhat entertaining but missed most of the really important information about the particular aircraft.
Seems like the research was somewhat lacking.
