Not many - the Lee Enfield No.4 and No.5, and the Walther P.38, and that was a tad over 40 years ago. Gun laws in the UK have always been very stringent, and stricter changes at that time (including storage requirements), meant I had to divest myself of firearms.
Since then, I have been able to use various live weapons (WW2 and modern), due to involvement in military-themed activities, and, off course, those weapons previously mentioned in my original post were used during my military service.
In the UK today, it's almost impossible to even legally own a blank-firing replica, or a de-activated weapon (which are mainly harmless - unless illegally doctored to fire live ammo).
But, bizarrely, it's legal to own a CO2 powered pistol or semi-auto assault rifle, if over 18 years of age, all of which could cause severe injury, or even a potentially fatality.
Minimum punishment for owning / possessing illegal weapons in the UK is a large financial fine, and a five year jail sentence.
