An enchanting, unbelievable, unparalleled mockery of physics and historical truth. But the acting is not bad, the main character is sympathetic, and he has a cute little dog.
I was wildly delighted by the single-seat Il-2s in 1946, flying and shooting with their wings in a vertical position along a forest clearing for a long time with virtually no loss of altitude!!! And that's not the end of the mockery of physics! Physics was very, very hurt!
Overall, the film is a powerful Finnish epic that incorporates all possible national stereotypes and fairy-tale elements.
PS. I almost forgot, the single-seat Il-2 was equipped with an ejector seat that ensured rescue at zero altitude!!! I think we could organize a contest to see who can find the most absurdities in this film.
