The israelie had had seasoned fighterpilots. Even with a plunker like the Avia that is a big advantage even when fighting superieur numbers. Bit like the airwar in the East. They shot down Spits, didn't they?

The Schwarz was with them. (apologies if someone has already said this- wasn't going to read through six pages of nonsense!)What was it about the black crosses on the wings that made German aircraft the best?
Your lack of effort has been noted.(apologies if someone has already said this- wasn't going to read through six pages of nonsense!)
6 pages of nonsense... my word..Your lack of effort has been noted.
First choice for what - for flying - or for shooting down enemy aircraft?Gordon Levitt, Israeli fighter pilot, comparing the Spitfire, Mustang, and Avia S-199 (Jumo-engined Bf 109), all of which the Israelis flew: "Despite the pros and cons, the Spitfire was everyone's first choice."
Both.First choice for what - for flying - or for shooting down enemy aircraft?
I'm pretty sure the Israeli Air Force kept the Mustang in service a lot longer than the Spit - but there may have been political or industrial reason for doing so?Both.
Hmmm.... A6M in Luftwaffe crosses might have won the Battle of Britain, How the Mitsubishi Zero won the Battle of Britain
