I remember as a very young lad (still at school) when a pint of rough cut cider only cost 2d and me sitting supping outside Ye Olde Poppe Inn, Tatworth, Somerset with the old country gents.I think the safe parking distance would be outside Ye Olde King's Head, Sutton, Cheshire, watching on "LiveCam", whilst imbibing a pint or two at 1944 prices !
I'm still too young to remember much of sixty three years back but my dad and I did it for our layout back 69!Wow, I remember building that signal box, for my model railway, about 63 years ago !
