Painted the body this weekend. Not as close a color match as I had thought, but close enough.

Just out of curiosity ... Now you have the car body painted. So why do you leave these pieces if these aren't the model parts? Aren't you afraid of damaging the coated part while removing the remnants of the injection mould?

There is a chrome molding going around the edge that those pieces are attached to that I still have to paint. I left them on so I would have something other than the delicate windshield frame to hold on to when I sprayed the blue.

Is that Tamiya Panel line wash on the bench there Glenn? Got some the other day*, but haven't a chance to use it yet. Is it good?

*originally ordered Mig PLW, but ordered was stopped, saying all products were being recalled as choking hazards!

Well don't drink it silly. I use the panel line wash, six colors I think, black light medium and dark grey, brown light and dark or so maybe seven. Still learning not to make a mess. Looks good when done correctly.
