I went web surfing for a while and found this for the Tiger storage bin...
This link is measurements of the bin on Tiger 812 Standard turret rear stowage bin
3D Print. It looks like the center opening did not go all the way down. How this didn't fill up with rain; dirt; and leaves is beyond me. Tiger Tank Turret bin used by s.Pz.Abt. 503 (STL-35-16)

Is there a lifting lug on the turret where the cutout is? If so, my inclination as a draftsman (which I'm not) is to make the bin the way you did with the cutout open at the bottom.

Awesome, thanks mate. You saved me a job too...I was going to fill the slight gap between the boxes and turret, but it looks like it should be there

Is the Zimmerit molded or did you apply?
Not mine I'm afraid. It's a pic of a restored real one. I wish I could do a model that was close to it though.
Been fiddling with this for a week or two.
The webbing is not really accurate but it will look good enough when attached to the sides of the Sd.Kfz.251.
