Went to this model comp today. Some nice models there today, not a huge range on display but still a nice turnout. Nothing better than models on display surrounded by the real thing!

"The Australian National Aviation Museum once again presents Australia's
longest running and most prestigious aviation model exhibition!

A great opportunity to enjoy an extensive array of the model-maker's art displayed in the museum amidst a background of some of the country's rarest and finest historic aircraft aircraft and aviation artefacts. Anybody with an interest in aircraft modelling or aviation in general is welcome. This is an excellent opportunity to tour the museum's collection of historic aircraft and take in the new displays and acquisitions while enjoying the great array of models on display. There will be heavily discounted model kits available for sale along with magazines, DVD's, books and aircraft-associated ephemera. There will be specialist vendors for the aviation and modelling enthusiast and all this can be enjoyed in the museum's unique surroundings. For the competitors there will be kits, trophies and awards to be won in all classes. Further details of which will be available from the museum or the this website from mid-July and all modelling clubs will be forwarded relevent details at the time - however independent modellers not associated with clubs are welcome, and encouraged to enter."

1/32 Boomerang kit? didn't know one existed , did it say if it was vacform? now that you mention it , it does seem abit 'off'

Not sure about the Boomer as the models didnt have any info cards just specific aircraft info.

Yeah I've got some shots of the surrounding aircraft which I'll post. Favourite I think is the Hudson I posted or a 48th Mosquito Mk XIX which is coming up.

Nice Alex. I like the Bendix Trophy (?) Spit XIV. As the rear fuselage looks a touch deep, I'm guessing that's the Academy 1/48th scale kit? Very nicely done though.

Yeah Im pretty sure that spit is the Academy Terry. Was finished really well.
