Meanwhile, heading back to beaver lodge #2, what we thought was another lodge was actually a muskrat home; they look very similar. Its about 20-30 feet off of a logging road and there's only a narrow field of vision for a shot. Hard to see the little guy but he's in the centre heading left

I had a better shot but I forgot to take my timer off and this is what happened....

....which I think looks pretty cool and would probably sell for millions in an art gallery. At the beaver pond, the loons were close to shore as can be seen with my partner in crime

On the way to lodge #1, we spotted a fox with a youngling but it took off as soon as we got out of the car

At lodge #1, a Ring-necked Duck with absolutely no ring

Hooded Merganser. Not sure what species the family is that is in the background as there are the two fore-mentioned ducks plus Mallards all within about 100yds.
