M MIflyer I live a block from the green belt and most homes along that street have dogs who go bat sh!t crazy when a bear goes by so for me its like having an early warning system. The lady who took the above photo has a Gold Lab but I rarely hear or see it. Something a little unnerving is, behind the bear, six house up the street is an elementary school and the kids were on recess.

Some of the young deer will be curious and come up very close.

A shot from long ago -- a young dude with an attitude at the East entrance kiosk in Death Valley National Park in California. I think he was pissed about standing around in the desert sun in a black suit without getting any handouts...

I was walking my dog yesterday morning and we encountered a young alligator, about 4 ft long. Dog saw it and towed me in that direction at high speed. The gator went into the canal but stayed right next to the back, just awash. It took some dog biscuits tossed down the road to get my dog to stop trying to go sniff the gator.

mama and baby got me stopped in the driveway last month

Last year's babies
This juvenile coyote was the only one to visit the camera. Here he gives it a boop.

Here he is posing like he has a union contract. " is this the spot? < raises foot> Send the check to my agent, ta ta"

Getting pretty cheeky by the fall. One night he even grabbed the camera and ran off with it for about 20' before dropping it.

last year's 13 babies on a first outing. Note how the hen lays down to get them to come to her, and then moves. They were hardly bigger than the eggs LOL.

later last year, they stopped me in the driveway all grown up. Only two months and looking pretty functional.

I had a pork butt in the smoker and was sorting through some of the rocks I've collected when I noticed this handsome gentleman in
a little buried bucket pond I had constructed earlier in the early spring.
