Went to our Trailcon 2020 model show and picked up the new ICM Invader and couldnt wait to get home and start on it. The plastic and detail is very nice. One plus is the aviaonics behind the pilot that you dont get in the mail. The engine detail is super detail. I will be order some Kits World decals for this. Kit comes with htree options and decals look really great on the sheet .

One thing to me that seems annoying with model companies is the lack of throttles. So i grabed sme spares from German aircraft and scratch builded the rest. It really adds more detail to the interior

Made a small amount of progress on the ICM Invader tonight . After final assemble of the nose section I went to test fit the nose to airframe and there was a step. The bottom nose to airframe fit is not bad . Where the bad step is the area up past the round pieces of the nose to to the top of the airframe. I tried pushing the airframe down and it made the step worse . I attempted to squeeze the nose and the sides to see if that would help and no luck. I cut the round jack stand mounts off vert to see if they interfered and no luck . Only choice was to add shim all the way around . So I glued for thin stripes of plastic and trimmed it back once dry . Step gone and for allot better. I am just Irritated to pay $85 for this and have that issue. But it's fixed and now I can move on with the project

Tonight i assembled both left and right engine pods. The pit was not bad. Plue side the kit provided after and forward bulk heads. Wheel detail is not bad. My only other issue is not a fan of the gear attached to the inner wheel well deatail. So once model is mainly assembled i will have to rest the plane on a foam pad. Next up is the clean up and assemble of the wings and wheels .

Got my Aerocraft ICM Invader brass landing gear in the mail today. It will requir a little built of clean up but well worth the $25 total . Won't have to worry about the kit gear collapsing under the weight .

Finally got some paint in the interior of the Invader . Appears the Korean War Invader Interior was black . So I first first brushed Tamiya interior green . Then I sprayed Tamiya flat black . Once dry I sprayed my own interior cockpit black . Theirs color sprayed was NATO black . For final fading I mixed NATO black with some neutral grey . Next will be flat coat and weather with some drybrushing before final detail is done

A little more spraying of black on the interior . I masked of the instrument panel , side of pilot airframe boxes , radio boxes and throttle area and sprayed it with AK Real color black . Next to flat coat parts and start some dry brushing
