The two pics below show the nose glazing glued in place and before any clean-up work has been done.

First, a shot from the bottom. Some minor filling will be needed along the bottom edge and then the whole thing smoothed into the fuselage plastic. The actual clear part on the real deal is actually a lot smaller and after the seams are cleaned up the area will be masked and painted. Note that I managed to get the cannon holes lined up but these still need to be cleaned up before inserting some brass rods to represent the barrels.

Next shot is from the top, and there are a couple of things to note. The seam between the two clear parts runs right along where the painted frame will be so it will be invisible once filled and painted (hopefully!). Secondly, the windscreen has been dry-fitted and you can see that there will need to be some removal of material on the fuselage plastic as the flat area that supports the screen sticks out a bit on both sides. So plenty of work remains in this area.

Thanks again for your continued interest.

Work continues slowly as I'm spending a fair amount of time getting the nose glazing blended in and completed.

Since the above post, I have masked the parts that will remain clear and have shot an inital coat of primer over the area. Note the cannon holes that do not form clean circles

To repair these openings, I stuck tapered toothpick ends into the holes and applied putty to create a perfectly round opening.

After sanding and scribing the glazing panels, I inserted a couple of brass tubes to represent the cannon barrels. More scribing is yet to be done but I want to shoot some primer over this whole area again to see how things look first.

Here's the overall nose as it now stands. I had to do a lot of filing and sanding to the sides of the fuselage to allow the seam with the winscreen to line up properly. Having now done that, I reverted to installation of the fiddley cockpit details that I left off owing to their delicate nature.

The remaining sections of the canopy glazing have been fondued in Future and are drying as we speak. Should get more done tomorrow.

Thanks for looking, and for your patience!

Thanks Terry. I noticed that I scribed the hoizontal line between the two cannon ports incorrectly so I filled the with primer and will redo it a little further up.
