Once again only just popped in for an update and my what excellent work. Simply beautifully done Andy, definitely worth a couple of gold stars.

Concentrated on the wheel wells and put the props on today.

First 3 pics show the retracting mechanisms installed. The scratch built retraction arms have been placed after installing the hydraulic jacks which connected to the hinge point. The jacks were made of plastic rod into which a copper wire was inserted which was in turn wrapped with metal furnace tape to give the shiny appearance. The wells were liberally stained with grease, oil, and mud stains and the latter were also applied to the areas in a splash pattern around the outside of the wheel well openings. The tires were also brushed with the same mud colour on the running surfaces.

The last picture shows the props installed.

Remaining to be done in the wheel wells is to install the hydraulics for the gear door actuators. Thanks for stopping by.

Excellent indeed! Got me all inspired at last to get some work done on my BF-110G-4
