Soon Andy, soon. Just need to finish the commission build, and finish fitting extra shelves and lighting to the cabinets.
I received a copy of great tribute article on Bob very recently (the pilot of my model subject), who was at the same show you went to, to see the Mosquito, and it's given me the required 'nudge' to get going again.
When I can figure out how to forward the article, I'll send you a copy. You most likely saw him there, without knowing it - a lovely chap, an American in the RAF, via the RCAF !!

Thanks very much everyone, I really appreciate the comments.

Although I did no work on this model since Saturday I'll post here a few shots taken earlier of the wing assembly. Kudos to Revell for their attention to detail here as they give the modeller the ability to have moving ailerons and flaps. Although I would have at first passed this up as being a bit gimmicky, the upside is that very few model companies even provide separate control surfaces let alone ones that move. At first I thought I would end up gluing these details in a selected position but then I discovered that these parts fit so nicely and move very close to the original that I'll likely eave them to move. The flap detail is particularly well done, in that the flap does not just move up and down but toward the rear as it is deployed. Here are the shots, starting first with an overall shot of one of the completed wings with bits and pieces of the other in the foreground. The upper half was left out of the picture as it was getting bit cluttered.

Here's a close-up of the upper wing before and after the flaps are deployed

And the same for the underside, retracted and deployed.

I'll need to get a move on to finish this one in time but there's still a lot left to do - yet more hydraulics in the bomb bay. Then there's the frightening prospect of having to fix the undercarriage as it's purported to be too short. I'll keep pluggin'.

Yeah,I know. The Mossie got a bit of putty treatment on Friday and while that dried, I made a start on the P-47 pit. Today was house painting day so F! all done on my models.

After a bit of a hiatus, I screwed up the courage to tackle the rest of the bomb bay and worked on the front bulkhead. First of all, there was a cavernous gap that had to be fixed. At this point, a small opening had already been drilled in the bulkhead through which some hydraulic lines will be threaded.

After puttying and repainting this area, I scratched some hydraulic valves and drilled a couple of more holes.

Speaker wire then makes up the hydraulic lines.

This build has a snowball's chance in hell of getting done for the end of this GB but I'll keep pluggin' away.
