The engine transplant begins!
A couple of quick passes with the razor saw, and Wa-la, nasty old engine gone.
And before anyone asks, yes, I still have all my fingers.

AMS, Advanced Modelers Syndrome. Symptoms include, (but are not limited to),
A compulsive need to cut apart perfectly good kits to "improve" them.
Spending hours researching tiny and remote details so they can be replicated in miniature, often in locations that will never be seen with the naked eye.
Discussions with other sufferers of the disease about better ways of replicating said items.
And boring friends, wives, and sometimes complete strangers with minutia concerning modeling.
 
The P&W R-985 Wasp Jr. gets sparkplug wires. The pushrods are in a pile next to it.
I have Chili to prepare, so after supper they will be installed.

Pushrods are a pain. But they are done!
Lick o' paint to touch it up and into the Kingfisher she goes.
The ring is the exhaust, will be glued in place once dry.
