Far as I know, Airfix have a North American distributor, so it should be available from US suppliers now, or very soon.
Alternatively, Hannant's in the UK ship worldwide, although I don't know their shipping rates (check their website).
However, if sent by Royal Mail, expect delays, as they are planning a series of strikes between October and Christmas, totaling 19 days over that time period.
I'm sure some of our American forum members can advise you on good supply outlets in the 'States.

Thanks for the info. I've actually preordered it but the company I ordered it through didn't have any information about shipping date. Good luck with the postal strikes.

Tamiya is coming out with a new 1/48 F-35. It should cost no more than a used Toyota.

Looks great, but I plan to wait for the Aurora version, no doubt soon to be available at Dodds, Roses, or K- Mart for 99 cents.
In the meantime I'll be content with my new Aurora Northrop N-102.

Chief Master Sargent, I'm feeling your pain. But, I'm going to have to at least consider asking my kids to shell out for the holidays! A two piece ejection seat? I'm ready to pull the cord.

Squadron has pre order at $78
Thanks for the info. I've got an Airfix Spitfire MkIX 1:24 on preorder and I've been like the little kid who looks for that letter from Grandma every day. So far…my mailbox 📮 is empty. 😳🥺. My wish list is getting larger, F14 (the interest in that aircraft is a long story), F18, Hurricane, and the list goes on…

We like long stories about airplanes.

We like long stories about airplanes.
Beware of what you wish! Lol 😂 Here it goes…
Early'80s, I was a tv news cameraman (40 years of dodging bricks & bullets NYC was like that) my assignment was a series about "the most dangerous jobs." Test pilot for Grumman Aerospace was the first in the series. I was working with one of our top Anchormen, that alone was worth the price of admission. We drive to Bethpage, Long Island, Grumman HQ. We're then ferried by small plane to their test field close to the end of LI. We'd been told by PR people that we'd have two rides in the F14, one for my Anchor, one for me with a camera. When we arrived, the PR Guy informed us that unbeknownst to him, the Navy had taken possession of the plane and they denied us the rides. The consolation prize was my partner/tape deck op and I would be allowed to record a couple of "touch and goes" from the end of the runway. Not the ride I was hoping for but it was an opportunity that was rarely available…an F14, with afterburners blazing barreling down the runway towards me and taking off right over our heads. My partner and I set up for the takeoff, the pilot revs the engines, I push the record button on the camera, the red tally light in the viewfinder is lit…ostensibly showing me that the deck is rolling…and shortly thereafter…whoosh! The F14 is rolling towards us…I have an amazingly perfect shot …. then the plane is airborne right over our heads! Confident that I've earned my pay for the week, or so I thought. Triumphant, I turned to my partner and asked…"so we got that?" His reply…"oh! Did you want that?" If looks could kill…he would have been incinerated. Fortunately the pilot turned around and did another pass and this time we got the shot. I, unfortunately, learned about a year later that the same pilot died while testing a different aircraft. At that moment the screwup of my partner didn't seem so important.
