Kinda like painting a dark spot on the bottom of an A-10 to mementarily confuse an adversary of which direction the Warthog is actually turning. Excellent!!

This is fairly common. All Canadian F-18's have the 'fake' cockpit painted on the underside. See pic below.

Were the national insignia truly asymetric on the wings?

Sorry guys I'm a little bit late bacause of my flat renovation. But it is correct these national Polish markings were painted asymetrically.

However I'm not sure if the squadron emblem was painted at the place it is on the model.Also its form is looking incorrectly to me.Anyway nice to see that models of Polish stuff appear there as well.:D

Wing camo does not extend to the flaps/ailerons because they have been replaced due to operational damage? Or is that typical? Where's Erich when we need him.
