This happened by Longmont Airport earlier this morning. The news said 2 people got out. I've seen this airplane (C-45) in the local area....

Hope and pray the crew got out OK. Other than that, it's sad when a warbird goes down. Another piece of history disappears. But except for the rarest aircraft, these warbirds belong in the air.

It was a CAF bird....:(

I guess it happened closer to Tri-Country airport which is about 10 miles south east of Longmont. I fly into both places frequently. This sucks!

Sad to see the demise of a plane but thats nothing as long as those on board are OK, people are far more unique and priceless than any piece of machinery.

At minimum maybe they can use it for parts for the restoration of a new aircraft.
