John - if you want to focus on just the 1st TF/1BD (all the Munich area targets and area of the biggest battle) that will tell you where to launch from (i.e Bassingbourn for 91BG, Thurleigh 306Bg, Grafton Underwood 305th BG, etc and for FG's the 4th Swept past Stuttgart and returned short of Ulm, the 355th from Steeple Morden arrived near Augsburg, and the 357th from Leiston arrived 10 minutes later just east of Augsburg, north of Munich)..

Don Caldwell's new Day Fighters In Defense of the Reich has a detailed map showing most of the LW Gruppe airfield locations for the engaging fighters on page 275.

Let me know if you got my 'stuff' from 1TF maps and reports

i did get them sir!! thank you VERY much!!

one thing i over-thought.......due to our time limits, i'm going to end up having to use "air starts" in which our aircraft will spawn at altitude. this will allow us to keep it within our 2 hour limit. i am however going to have them landing......if they survive.

i think what i may do, is to get the targets set, let the allied CIC and axis CIC know what aircraft they have, and how many, and let them set up the routes.

i gotta find more time to peruse this site........this place is a goldmine of information.

The first clash between 4th and JG11 was around noon at Worms - inbound 1st TF - while sweeping ahead. No p47 engagements either for Penetration or Withdrawal escort. Last in the ~1425 on reverse course nw from Landsberg - 354FS Henry Brown hunting alone catches a 109 somewhere near Gablingen/Augsburg area airfield.

5 credits given to JG 11 machines 3 P-51's 1 P-47 and 1 B-24 East SE of Mannheim. 20 losses sof Jg 11 many due to technical malfunctions, name so pilots not known, many Fw 190 A-8's fell in the area of Lorsch.

thanks again for all the helpful info. i've not been in in awhile, but work kind of went full blown nutso......this is good though, 'cause it's better than no work.

i've got the write up just about done. once we iron out the kinks, it should go live for 3 friday evenings in august.

when we do these, we have to make some allowances, such as air starts. i'm going to use all of the mentioned targets over the three weeks of this set.

thank you again, and i'll try to me in here more often, to let you know how things go.
