Hi everyone,

I'm just looking through the bird shots I took this weekend, and just noticed one barnacle goose (in a flock of maybe a thousand) that apparently "pulls up" too quickly, loses too much airspeed and then snaps over onto its back involuntarily - at least, that's what it looks like to me! :)

Watch the goose in the top left-hand corner ... I'm going to make separate posts to work around the forum's   bug (that mainly goes unnoticed except by us Opera users).

Regards,

Henning (HoHun)

Hi Marcel,

>a goose stall, he probably had the goose bumbs for a while...

LOL!

>Hohun, maybe you could resize the pics? They are a tat too big.

Haha, I can do even better - I made an animated GIF so you can view the sequence sequentially ;) See above!

Hi Clave,

>When you spend as much time flying as a goose, you get good at recovery moves...

Hehe, good point. Reminds me Calvin's (of the "Calvin and Hobbes" comics) road safety slogan ... "Be careful, or be road kill!" ;)
