ok scratched up a new trim tab actuator and moved it under the elevators, tamiya moulded a triangle of plastic on top of the elevators ???
pretty chuffed how they turned out for my first foray into the murky world of scratch building !!!

 
It's easier in a larger scale, but then the detail has to be more precise too. With that big b*gg*r, I kept knocking the wings against the desk lamps every time I moved it !
 
pics are a little burred as i had to set my camera on manual, the light here is rubbish this morning

got all the big bits together and painted last night, glossed it this morning but it is still drying as we speak
