From best show I saw last year. An adventure being a month out of open heart surgery and not allowed to leave home at the time.
Had 2 medical trained friends escort and help, also in case of problems.
Opening band was a waste.

But the other 3 were awesome as expected:

Motörhead first. Dee's drum solo and hearing "In the Name of Tragedy" made my day.
Campbell was more high energy than normal.
Crowd went rather nuts when Lemmy casual strolled out, me included as friends had to refrain me a bit (fear of colapse). As usual Lemmy asked if it was loud nough.
Have seen them from Fast Eddie days to today, but can't remember ever saying it was lound enough in my reply.
Honestly think current line-up is far better than with Filthy and Eddie.

2nd was Heaven and Hell.

Iommi, Dio, Butler, Appice.

What more needs said ?

Having seen Iommi a dozen times, was the most I've seen him smile throughout a show. Obvious aware of crowd adoring them. Dio is always such a happy guy, loves his job

Last was Judas Priest

I passed on seeing them in the Owens period, but multiple times before and since.

Halford pretty much controlled the crowd with 1 hand, it was great. Took a couple minutes for them to continue when the cycle came out, some things one never gets tired of.
His outfit must have weighed a ton.
Had to go back to get full stage shots, seated to close for my low cost camera

Great pics up there. I really love Judas Priest and Motorhead. I would love to see Heaven and Hell. They are over here in Germany at the moment, but I am already committed to other things at each of there shows. I have seen Black Sabbath and Dio several times, but never together as Heaven and Hell.

Saw Heaven and Hell 3 times, you really have to try and see them while it lasts. They are having FUN and all four are obviously happier than any time I saw Sabbath (back to Ozzy era). And the audiences, at least my shows, are totally into them and they know it, result being great playing. Dio loves his job, one of the nicest people to meet and lacks all that "I'm it" rock star BS so many seem to have.

And voices and playing give anyone "new" a run for their money skills wise.

Likewise, Lemmy and Company are as tight as ever. "Slowing down" isn't a phrase anyone uses to describe them after a show :p

I haven't seen a single band play this year, and for the most of last year - I am disgusted with myself. :(

Let's see:

'84 ;Scorpions w/Bon Jovi as warm up.
'85; AC/DC w/ Yngwei Mamstien as warm up. Also Iron Maiden w/Accept and Why On Earth as warmup. This was a cool heading in the order they performed. Why On Earth Accept Iron Maiden.
'87; Iron Maiden w/Waysted as warm up. Also saw Ratt w/ Poisen as warm up. I know, Ratt Poisen concert heheheh.......anyway
'89 Oh god , do I really say this...........Mel Tillis. I enjoyed the comedy really well. Hey tickets were free .
Nothing in the '90's.
2007; Night Ranger w/ local band as warm up. It was a festival here where I live.
2008; Iron Maiden w/Lauren Harris as warm up. BEST F!@#ING CONCERT YET! Well Maiden wise, hell of a show. Also REO Speedwagon w/ some early '70's tribute band as warm up. Th..th...th...that's all folks. ..........at least for now.

Sorry to hear that. Both AC/DC shows I went to this year had excellent sound.

I have both Bruce Springsteen and Metallica next week.

Well, if you go to the Amsterdam Arena, you know that you'll probably get a sound that sucks. I don't understand why the majority of the big concerts here are held in that echo machine. I made an agreement with myself that I would never go there again for concerts, but made an exception for AC/DC. The show was good, though.

Went and saw Bruce Springsteen on Friday. Great show!

Then last night I went to the Sonisphere festival in Hockenheim, Germany. Saw Anthrax, Down, Lamb of God, Mastadon, Die Toten Hosen and Metallica! That was my 13th Metallica show and 3rd one this year! Man it was great. Good setlist and the sound was amazing. Even James was back to that growl voice that he is famous for!

Saw Hayseed Dixie last night In a small local venue. Great gig and a real treat, tho. a bit of a shame they didn't do more of their own material, still Ace of spades done bluegrass style has to be seen to be believed

Ones I can remember off the top of my head...

James Brown
King Kurt
Bon Jovi
Huey Lewis and the News
Julian Cope
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Travis (x 2)
Radiohead (x 2)
Primal Scream
Amy Winehouse
Bluetones
A-Ha
OMD
The Cross
Shakespear's Sister
Jesus Jones
Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Robbie Williams
Paul McCartney
Matthew Sweet
Bob Geldof
Natalie Merchant
Chuck Berry
Kate Nash
The Flaming Lips
Badly Drawn Boy
Rufus Wainwright
Jools Holland and his Rythm and Blues Orchestra

there are plenty more I can't remember

Top 3

Paul McCartney (something like a religious experience for a Beatles nut like me)
Rufus Wainwright
Amy Winehouse - saw her in a tiny club when she was starting out, before it all went messy... awesomely talented girl)

I have seen AC/DC a couple times...back in the 80's. That band could rock an arena like it was a small club, they held every concert goer in the palm of the hand for the whole show...was really impressed.

I had tickets to see Led Zeppelin but Bonham died...

I had tickets to see the Who, but Moon died (I have seen the Who Townsend solo many times sense).

I had tickets to see Bob Marley, but, well...he died too.

My brother and sister took me to see George Michaels last year...but he didn't die.

I saw Metallica at UMass back in "83" (?) or was it "84"

I have seen Motorhead many times, dating back to the Ozzy tour...

Black Flag, Misfits, Buzzcocks, the Damned, Iggy Pop...

I saw the Clash in 1979 with Johhny Thunders...my ears are still ringing!!!

I have also seen the Ramones many times, dating back to "The Road to Ruin" tour...

I saw Kiss back on their "Rock Roll Over" tour...AND I saw the first "Frehley's Comet" show at the Agora Ballroom.

Nirvana, Green Day, Melvins, (I shared a bill with them more)

I saw Jimmy Cliff and Peter Tosh back in "79" and "82" (?)...

Frank Zappa, Van Halen, Al Di Meola, Santana....

Theirs more but its in the "haze" somewhere...

Bit of a pattern forming here...? If I were a concert promoter, I would refuse to sell you tickets...
