Well, having served with a number of different religions, I can honestly say that there were many Christians who had no problem pulling the trigger.
I suppose if the guy still wants to serve, it's borderline, especially if he trained as a rifleman.
This guys deserves nothing more than to be shamed and scorned for the rest of his life. "war resister". What a euphemism for coward. You signed on the dotted line knowing full well that if you had to, you would pick up a rifle and go into combat. Every vet and standing member of the military knows that. I knew it, Dan knew it, Joe, Chris, and a host of others all knew it.
My first time carrying a rifle in bad-guy land, I was scared shitless. But I did it, it was my job, and my commitment, not only to my country, but the other guys on my team that were counting on me to watch their back.
