The U-2 must be very hard to land in a cross wind

Doesn't look easy to land with no wind either. I'd be curious to see how a sim deals with U2 landings. That sure doesn't look easy and I have seen many U2 landings when I was overseas. Some were a little squirrely, but none were like the video ones.

Does part of the problem emerge from just the fact that the landing gear are just on the midline?

Some of those look like Palmdale, one of the worlds' sources of sustained wind.

Some of the those were pretty hairy! She certainly doesn't look particularly stable on landing.
