I'm not sure but it seems that the rear moved down part of the top fuselage was wider and had a little bit different shape. Here a couple pictures I found via the net.

It always seems to happen that way. You look and look and thing you got it right and as soon as you commit you or someone finds out something different. I'm not sure I want to fix it but I know if I don't it'll bug the hell outta me. What to do...

Thanks for those Wurger... I think...

Just kidding I appreciate the information.

Yep, and to me! Might be easier to take a trace from the scale plans I sent you, and transfer this to the top of the fuselage, to give the required shape.

After a few days away from the Defiant I wasn't happy with the look of the lowered rear faring. I feel I was on the right track but my execution and result was less then acceptable so it was back to the drawing board.

Using some of the collected documents I cut out a template

Time to start cutting again

Wheel wells and the gear doors

Thanks for looking

The idea of making the template for the rear moved part of the fuselage is cool. I like it Dirk. Now it's looking much better then the previous part.

Time to turn my attention to the wings

Out of the box you can see the ailerons are too small and should extend a little farther past the wings trailing edge.

Adding shims to the wings

The final position. I like it a lot better. Now I just need to file it to get the proper shape

Started to rough out the tail section

Thanks for looking
